Aquarian Classic Clear Bottom Snare - A Wide-Open, Full Sound The Aquarian Classic Clear is a medium weight, clear single ply drumhead that can be used on the top or bottom of any size tom-tom. As a Batter Head, the 10mil thick Nu-Brite drumhead film produces a wide-open, full sound with plenty of attack and a musical sustain.

When used as a bottom head, they resonate with a warm, clean and choke free response. A Note on Resonant( bottom) Heads: The bottom resonant head is often neglected but has a significant effect on the overall tone of the drum. A poorly made or poorly tuned bottom head will sap all the tone out of a great drum.

Classic Clear heads, made with Aquarian's Safe-T-Lok hoop and Nu-Brite drumhead film, let the drum sing and make it the perfect resonant head for any tom-tom! The Aquarian Difference Incorporated into all Aquarian heads is a patented 360-degree Safe-T-Loc Hoop that eliminates slippage and detuning. The Aquarian Hoop makes it virtually impossible for a head to pull out or pucker, resulting in more consistent tuning with increased resonance.

Aquarians exclusive multi-ply vacuum tunning process helps reduce tone killing air pockets and dead spots by removing more of the air caught between plies. The result is a 2 ply head that is more responsive and resonant. The thickness of the drumhead film is a determining factor in how fast the head will vibrate.

The thinner the material, the faster it vibrates, producing higher frequencies and more noticeable overtones. Thicker drumhead film generates lower relative frequencies. All of our heads are made exclusively from Aquarians ultra-responsive 3,5,7 and 10mil thick NuBRITE drumhead film. The number of plies used to make a drumhead will affect the response and the timbre of a drum.
